New Toys
So in the end I decided to get the Axim X30, basically because it was the cheapest. Having wireless would have been nice, but in the end it's just an extra luxury that I wouldn't have used. Thanks, though, Steve for commenting about the reviews.
I've also started a Flickr account for posting my photos. So far it just has the ones I've already posted here. In the future, I'll post pictures there and just put one or two here with a link. The address is http://www.flickr.com/photos/yearinjapan/ for those of you with a twitchy bookmark finger.
There are only 12 days until I leave, and I'm more in denial about this trip everyday. Also, my plane tickets haven't arrived, and I haven't even been sent an email to say they're in the post. It's things like this that get me stressed, and I don't like being stressed. I just want everything to go smoothly.

Don't we all! I mean "don't we all just want things to go smoothly"!! Especially when travelling ... I've been doing it forever (or so it seems) and yet the dread of missed flights, lost luggage, troublesome airport security people ... all sends me up the wall almost still. (And that despite the fact that I've never really had any horrendous travel experiences. All has usually gone very smooth.
Well, enjoy your new PDA ... I'll check out your photos ...
